Australia Zoo. Australia Zoo – The Ultimate Wildlife Adventure Australia Zoo is a team of passionate conservationists working around-the-clock to deliver an animal experience like no other. Steve and Terri Irwin’s vision has always been to make Australia Zoo the biggest and best wildlife conservation facility in the entire world, and there is no other zoo like Australia Zoo! The Sunshine Coast Beaches. Miles and miles of beautiful beaches, from cosmopolitan Mooloolaba, trendy Noosa and quirky Caloundra, and many in between.
Dularcha National Park. Tunnel Ridge Outlook sits right on the edge of the Dularcha National Park. A historic railway tunnel built in 1891, a bat colony (seasonally roosting), eucalypt forests and riparian areas with flooded gums, cabbage tree palms and rainforest plants feature here. Shared trails are provided for walkers, mountain bike riders and horse riders.
Glass House Mountains. These rugged volcanic peaks that tower above the surrounding landscape are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. The peaks are also culturally significant to the traditional owners, the Gubbi Gubbi people. In Aboriginal legend the mountains are members of a family with the father being Mount Tibrogargan and the mother Mount Beerwah.
Ewen Maddock Dam. Tunnel Ridge Outlook has views over the Ewen Maddock Dam. You can walk to the Dam in 20 minutes, or drive 5 minutes to Maddock Park. There’s a swimming area, BBQ and play areas and space for boating and kayaking. With walking and horse riding trails that connect with the Dularcha National Park.
Maleny. Our neighbouring town, a short drive up the spectacular Brandenberg Road. With spectacular views over to the coast and Glasshouse Mountains, Maleny is home to many artists, craftspeople, fantastic shops and restaurants.
Eumundi Markets. Australia’s premier artisan market Visit the Original Eumundi Markets if you’re looking for something different, something handmade, something special … You’ll find original artworks, sculptures, furniture, handmade toys, homewares, and skincare, as well as cutting edge fashion and jewellery by local designers, all guided by our ethos of “we make it, bake it, grow it, sew it”. 40 minutes drive from Tunnel Ridge Outlook.
Mooloolah. Our local village community – with lots of great local businesses: Kenny’s restaurant, fish n chips, Chinese takeaway, pizza take-away, Jae’s Place bar & grill, butchers, bakers, newsagent, IGA Supermarket, hairdressers, pharmacy, hardware store, bottle shop, real estate, pet store, petrol station, and more! Plus, community facilities including doctor and dentist, pony club, mobile library, park and children’s play area, BMX park, community swimming pool.
The BigKart Track. The Big Kart Track is the largest commercial go-kart track in Australia. The track is 1.2 km in length and 8 metres wide. Put your witts against big sweeping bends, challenging chicanes, hair-rising hairpins and supercharged straights.
Mooloolah Riding Centre. Our friend Atalanta runs a horse riding centre where everyone from complete beginners to experienced riders can ride a horse along trails in the Dularcha National Park and around Mooloolah.
Aussie World & Pub. If you’re looking for thrills and excitement then you will find it all at Aussie World – right in the middle of the Sunshine Coast on the Bruce Highway. There are rides that will get you soaked, make you green and dizzy, there are simulators and slides, bumps and coasters! For the kids or the big kids at heart, we offer FUN for all ages. And right next door is the iconic Pub!
